Megawatt-scale wind turbine crashes to the ground in Fayette County, PA

One of the Mill Run Wind Energy Center's ten 1.5 megawatt turbines fell to the ground last night. The project was placed in service in 2001 with a nameplate capacity of 15 megawatts. The facility was developed by Atlantic Renewable Energy and Horizon Wind Energy, and constructed and operated by NextEra Energy Resources.
