Windham Regional Commission's Report on the proposed Glebe Mountain Windplant to the Vermont Public Service Board

Approximately 125 people attended the hearing, 40 of whom spoke to the issue. Twenty-seven speakers identified themselves as opposed to the project, 13 in favor. One hundred eighty six written comments were received, 146 opposing the project and 40 supporting it.

Dear Chairman Volz,

In accordance with 30 VSA  §248(f), the Windham Regional Commission (WRC) has reviewed materials submitted on December 23, 2005 by Glebe Mountain Wind Energy, LLC regarding its proposed construction of a wind energy facility in the Towns of Londonderry and Windham. The WRC also conducted a public hearing in Londonderry, on January 26.

Attached is the WRC’s summary of its review and of comments received, and recommendations to the Board and to the petitioner.

Electronic copies do not include public comments received, which were many. The hard copies that are sent to the Board and to the parties listed below will include those comments.
