Apparently, the entire system then collapsed due to the imbalance. The cause is still unclear. According to information from the Nordkurier, the monitoring company for the plant lost control of the wind turbine a few days ago.

The culprit was a power failure, which meant that no more data from the wind turbine was transmitted. As a result, no more error messages were received during monitoring.

According to a technician, the damage should amount to around 100,000 euros. The wind turbine near Dölitz has been in operation since 1997 and has an operating permit until 2027.
