At least nine tornadoes ripped through Jacksboro Texas. Aerial inspection shows a number of turbines were destroyed by the force of the storm. It appears that the turbine facility that sustained the damage is the Keechi project which is owned and operated by UK-based RES America. The facility was placed in service in 2015 and consists of 55 Vestas V 100 2.0 megawatt turbines for a total installed capacity of 110 megawatts. The project is located less than 5-miles south of Jacksboro Texas. One viewing location of the project is Lat 33.190156, Long -98.135198. There are two other turbine projects located near Jacksboro: Barton Chapel and Senate Wind.
