End wind power subsidy program, citizens tell Premier

Citizens throughout Ontario are telling Premier Wynne that the Feed In Tariff or FIT subsidy program is an expensive failure and should be scrapped immediately, says Wind Concerns Ontario, a coalition of citizens and community groups.

Corporations involved in wind power meet this week in Toronto at the FIT Forum, to discuss ways to benefit from the provincial subsidy.

Citizen groups plan demonstrations this week to tell the Premier their communities are "not willing hosts" to wind power projects. Events are scheduled in Belleville, Toronto, Seaforth, Listowel and Ottawa.
