Wind farm postponed until renewable energy targets rise

Development of the wind farm has been approved, but construction will not begin until renewable energy targets are raised.


The construction of a wind farm at Woodlawn in the New South Wales Southern Highlands has been postponed because renewable energy targets are currently being met.

Project spokeswoman Stephanie Rice says construction of the wind farm at the present time would be fruitless, as quotas set by the Commonwealth and state governments are being achieved with existing renewable sources.

Development of the wind farm has been approved, but construction will not begin until renewable energy targets are raised.
