Windmills defile Irish landscape

On a recent trip to Ireland, I witnessed a scene which reaffirmed my opposition to windmills in the Berkshires. ...I hope that the people of Lenox, Lee, Stockbridge, and the rest of Berkshire County will have the wisdom to protect the Berkshires from Kilgarvin's fate.

On a recent trip to Ireland, I witnessed a scene which reaffirmed my opposition to windmills in the Berkshires.

Just south of Killarney, in a mountainous region known for its beauty, lies a town called Kilgarvin. As I drove through Kilgarvin, enjoying the views of the surrounding hills, I was saddened to see a vast expanse of mountainside and mountaintop defiled by at least 15 huge and ugly windmills. Totally out of place and proportion, this wind farm in Kilgarvin has created a permanent scar on the Irish landscape.

I hope that the people of Lenox, Lee, Stockbridge, and the rest of Berkshire County will have the wisdom to protect the Berkshires from Kilgarvin's fate.
