Vince missed the Feb. 3 Northeast Kingdom caucus meeting for the vote for a moratorium on wind development, so he did not receive the most recent 1,000-plus signatures on a petition presented to the governor against industrializing Vermont’s ridgelines. He did not get to meet representatives of the nearly 200 members of the Ridge Protectors from the Northeast Kingdom who presented the petition to the committee.

These towers, with flashing red lights, are as tall as a football field standing on end. They come with infrastructure that will mow down thousands of acres of our hillsides.
Are supporters requesting that their communities be inundated with these massive foreign developments?
Why would they join electric companies, oil companies, and other special interests at the government feeding trough?
A lot of us are “catching on” to what industrial wind is — a big hoax.
Foreign developers are not “environmentalists” trying to save the environment, or “neighbors” trying to help us save money on our electric bill, or even “conservationists” trying to conserve fossil fuels which could save the environment.
These are elaborate plans that rely on millions of dollars of federal subsidies. Supporters hope in the end, there might be some benefit to those who help these developers push their projects through. Let’s be realistic. We know there are better ways to save money, save energy, and save the environment, without ruining the one we have. Industrial wind is not one of them.
