Subsurface cracks in the turbine foundations at TransAlta Renewables' Kent Hills 1 and Kent Hills 2 wind energy facilities have resulted in one turbine collapsing and the suspension of operations of all 50 turbines. The Kent Hills 1 and 2 facilities have a total capacity of 167 megawatts. The fifty turbines are Vestas V90 - 3.0 megawatt units. Phase 1 was placed in service in 2008. Phase 2 was online by 2010.
