RURAL MADISON COUNTY, Iowa (KCCI) — A proposed wind farm in rural Madison County has been put on hold by the board of commissioners after residents expressed concerns.
The wind turbines would stretch from Ohio to Crawford townships. There’s already a wind farm in Madison County.

One KCCI viewer commented on Facebook, “I wish I could look out and not see one from every window! Plus they can be loud at times! It's sad when you can tell your kids see the red flashing lights... we're almost home!"
Another commented, “I prefer solar. Have worked around the windmills on farms, glad I do not have to look at them, give me a solar panel any day of the week.”
The discussion on this proposal will be brought back up in July for a vote.
