Wind farm firm rejects health inquiry call

ABC News|July 28, 2010

The operator of a 128-turbine wind farm at Waubra, west of Ballarat, says there is no need for a Senate inquiry into the health effects of wind farms.

Family First Senator Steve Fielding this week met residents who say noise from the turbines is making them sick.

He says he will launch a Senate inquiry into the issue if he is re-elected next month.

But the wind farm operator, Acciona Energy, says there is already enough existing credible evidence proving there is no health effects from wind farm noise.
