TAZEWELL, Va. - A steering committee studying a wind turbine proposal for East River Mountain has yet to reach a consensus agreement on where windmills can and can't be constructed in Tazewell County.
The committee will hold a third - and possibly final - meeting on Monday, March 23, at 6 p.m. in Tazewell. Committee recommendations could be presented to the Tazewell County Board of Supervisors as early as April, but most likely in May, according to County Attorney Eric Young.
Young said the steering committee has met twice, including earlier this week.
