Firm to resubmit its turbine plan

The plans for the 100-metre high turbines were originally turned down on a number of grounds, including the impact on the surrounding landscape and local communities.

Plans for a controversial wind farm in Lincolnshire are to be resubmitted by a renewable energy firm.

Proposals for 10 turbines at Laughton near Gainsborough were rejected last month after a public inquiry.

But London-based Your Energy said it will now put forward a new application for eight turbines.

Managing Director Richard Mardon said: "We have been listening to the people on this - we have been working on the project for three or four years."

Earlier concerns

"The inspector was supportive of a wind farm on this site - but he raised the point of two turbines being too close to the village.

"We have dropped those two turbines and we have complied with all the recommendations of the inspector and we hope to resubmit very soon."

Earlier plans for the wind farm were rejected by West Lindsey District councillors.
