Councilor Tom Gill voiced concerns about the lack of zoning provisions for a tower that high.

Councilor Tom Gill voiced concerns about the lack of zoning provisions for a tower that high.
"Are you going to have these things all over the place?" he said.
"That's the goal," Hammond responded and went on to tout what he labeled as the benefits of the urban wind turbine. "It's designed to be used in urban settings. We have projects in Marion, Marshalltown, and other cities. In a setting such as this, the turbine would offset their electricity use by 80 to 100 percent."
Councilor John Weihe also voiced concerns over the project.
"At this point, I don't think we want to be jumping on the bandwagon," he said.
