Commoners turn down wind farm

MEMBERS of the West Glamorgan Commoners Association have voted unanimously to reject the siting of 34 wind turbines on Mynydd y Gwair, eight miles north of Swansea city centre.

The commoners say they had been given financial incentives, believed to be in the region of £700,000 over 20 years, to accept the offer from agents of the Somerset Trust and the would-be developer of the wind farm, Npower.
The meeting decided unanimously to reject all proposals and object to the development.
