Pierson Township turbine setback distances updated

A Public Hearing was held on June 3, 2021 and there were many from the community that came to express their thoughts on setbacks and the Montcalm County Wind Project. ​

The Planning Commission voted to leave the setback for Commercial/Non-Participating at 4X (page 11) and increased the number to 4X on page 8 section (ii) as well. Click here for the Wind Ordinance before recommendation. Minutes from the meeting will be approved at the July PC meeting but attached here as a draft.

​Planning Commission will present their recommendations before the Board for approval on June 15 at 7 pm before adoption and publish.
