A wind turbine in northern Livingston County caught fire Friday.

The turbine was about five miles southeast of Odell, according to a spokesman for Iberdrola Renewables, the energy company that runs the Streator Cayuga Ridge wind farm. The 150-turbine farm runs from the La Salle-Livingston County line south into Livingston County.

Firefighters responded and there were no injuries. The fire was out by late Friday afternoon, with its cause under investigation. The line of turbines was shut down as a precaution while the fire was burning. Streator Cayuga Ridge began operating in March 2010.
