The 49.5MW Yanzishan Wind Farm, approved to construct in April 2012, will have 33 1.5MW wind turbines. It is developed by Guodian Guangxi New Energy Development Company with a total investment of 489 million yuan. It is scheduled to be connected to the grid in December this year.

The Chinese wind industry's dubious health and safety (H&S) record continued last year, with eight deaths out of a global total of 12. In 2011, eight out of 11 workplace deaths occurred in China.
