PacifiCorp has purchased a wind farm from PPM Energy that's three miles southwest of Arlington, in Eastern Oregon. The farm is similar to this one near the Oregon-Washington border.

The Leaning Juniper 1 project is three miles southwest of Arlington in Eastern Oregon. PPM Energy still is building the facility and will continue to manage things for PacifiCorp for two years.

Energy from the project is enough to power more than 30,000 homes each month. It will use 1.5-megawatt General Electric turbines, 67 in all. The land is owned by Waste Management Disposal Services of Oregon and will continue to be used for wheat farming and grazing.
