A renewable energy developer has until the start of next month to address a planning condition breach surrounding an anemometer mast at Wainfleet.
RWE npower renewables has been served with a Breach of Control Notice by East Lindsey District Council after failing to fit the correct style of bird deflectors to guy wires supporting the wind monitoring mast at New Road.

Wainfleet Wind Turbine Action Group vice-chairman Melvin Grosvenor said: "We are absolutely sick to the back teeth of RWE flagrantly disregarding inspectors' decisions and it gives us no confidence that we are dealing with a responsible developer.
"Their standing within the local community is at rock bottom and if this is the sort of incompetency we are dealing with at this stage is doesn't bode very well."
RWE npower renewables developer Dee Nunn said: "As responsible developers, we have been working with East Lindsey District Council and made every effort to get the preferred bird diverters fitted to the met mast in good time.
"Well in advance of the deadline, specialist installers were booked to fit the preferred diverters but, because of the unprecedented rainfall in July, the ground has been too wet to undertake this work safely and correctly. The installation has had be to cancelled on two separate occasions. We have rescheduled the work for the next available installation date and are working hard to ensure that the diverters will be installed at the earliest opportunity."
