COLEBROOK -- The Connecticut Siting Council last week accepted into its findings one major difference that separates the second site proposed for wind turbines in town from the first.

History and tourism dollars.

The Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism submitted letters to the council saying turbines at the second site on Rock Hall Road would threaten the nearby Rock Hall Luxe Lodging, a bed and breakfast which last July was added to the National Register of Historic Places.
