Landowners opposed to a planned wind farm in New South Wales will not rule out taking legal action against energy developers.
Locals in Gunning in the Southern Tablelands say Taurus Energy has retracted an offer to compensate locals for land devaluation.
While some landowners fiercely oppose turbines being built on private property in the area, others have entered into lucrative wind farm deals with energy companies.
Landowner and turbine opponent Jenny Bell says the secrecy surrounding negotiations is causing tension in the community.
"People are very reluctant to admit they are negotiating with the wind farm people," she said.
"I don't know whether that's because they've signed secrecy clauses or whether there's just a sense of shame that they haven't been more upfront about it.
