Because corrosion engineering was a large part of my career, I learned firsthand about the corrosiveness of sea water on metals. Because wind-driven electrical generators would be located in the ocean, the corrosion effects will result in more down time and higher maintenance costs than if they were located on dry land. Also, if the wind doesn't blow, no electricity is generated.

Considering these points, agreeing to a contract with Bluewater Wind for 25 years should be reviewed more seriously.
