Wind farms are cash cows
Unfortunately, the wind industry proponents would prefer the public to remain ignorant of the fact that wind farms will have no effect on climate change, will never provide a secure supply of power for the future, but will result in high electricity prices and an increase in fuel poverty.

Maf Smith (Forum, 5 May) cites the 2002 poll on visitor attitudes to wind farms conducted in Argyll as evidence that "tourists are like the general public; they support the development of renewables and wind farms". But that poll was sponsored by the wind industry, and 80 per cent of those polled had never seen a wind farm.
In 2002, wind farms in Argyll were small and inconspicuous, but it would be impossible for visitors to miss the current developments of mega turbines up to 450 feet in height.
