At Lempster Mountain Wind Farm, where 12 huge wind turbines are New Hampshire's poster child for large-scale alternative energy, you can find a bit of both those income producers - although only a bit.
"We actually have people coming up here to view them. They ask for directions, how they can get closer," said Cathy Sturgeon, who owns Sturgeon's General Store on Route 10, the main north-south route through tiny Lempster, near Mount Sunapee.
"If they didn't know they were there, they'll stop in and buy a disposable camera!" she said, noting that she has sold out of three orders of "windmill T-shirts."
