Wind farms have no impact on coal plants
The presence of wind farms will have literally NO impact on the number of coal burning plants that must be kept on line to meet demand. NONE.

You [Patrick Monroe, The Journal, Jan. 19] write, "If a wind farm is a blemish on the natural environment, the absence of a wind farm results in more coal burning plants that cause acid rain and help kill the trees and rivers."
That is SO not true. The presence of wind farms will have literally NO impact on the number of coal burning plants that must be kept on line to meet demand. NONE. Please take a closer look at this issue so as to be informed enough to write about it. There are GOOD REASONS why so many environmentalists are against commercial wind power, and they're not about anyone's view.
