Kent Power crews working on Bay City DEQ wind turbine

Crews from Kent Power began the disassembling process on the turbine Thursday and expected to complete the project before the end of the day. The DEQ contracted the company earlier this month and had scheduled the project for last week, but weather conditions forced crews push back the start date.

Kochville leaders mull wind turbine ordinance, consider test application

While Kochville Township works through the details of putting a wind turbine ordinance in place, a temporary permit may be issued to business owner Ernie Krygier to "test" an installation.
Chairman Warren Collisi presented the wind ordinance used by Bridgeport Township to Planning Commission members Monday and said he thought it was the best one, after a comparison of other township's ordinances.

Kochville stalls wind energy ordinance, extends moratorium

The Kochville Township Board has extended the moratorium on wind energy devices to Dec. 28 to allow more time to work on the proposed ordinance.
Supervisor James S. Loiacano said recent litigation over existing wind turbines and pending legislation in Congress has raised more questions.
