PRINCETON - A wind developing company received only a few questions from Bureau County residents at a public hearing Thursday regarding construction of 57 wind turbines near the village of Ohio.
The Bureau County Zoning Board of Appeals heard very few concerns and questions before unanimously approving conditional use permits and 18 variances for the turbines.

GALESBURG - Could national security concerns slow the progress of two local wind farm projects? Not likely, but anything is possible when the federal government gets involved, according to the developers spearheading wind farms near Bishop Hill and Alexis.
CHICAGO - Illinois Democrats Dick Durbin and Barack Obama are among six U.S. senators who sent a letter Friday to two federal agencies expressing concern after the federal government stopped work on wind farms while it studies whether the giant turbines could interfere with military radar.
