Town officials have filed yet another formal complaint to the state Public Service Commission, this time calling attention to BP Wind Energy's "cooperation clauses" in Cape Vincent Wind Farm land leases and good-neighbor agreements.
In a recent letter to the PSC, Town Council members argue that many "pro-project comments" submitted by the public to PSC's website were made by leaseholders.
Some call it an attractive energy source: renewable and sustainable.

The Indiana State Police have received a complaint from Tipton County residents to look at possible conflicts of interest surrounding the proposed Prairie Breeze Wind Farm. ..."We are coordinating with the [Tipton County] prosecutor," Burgess said. "The prosecutor is reviewing documents and there may be an investigation. Once he reviews the documents, he will give us some direction to take."
Labor and business groups were outnumbered today in a hearing to put a moratorium on any wind farm or electrical transmission line project.
House Bill 580 calls for an energy plan to be written before permits are issued for projects such as Northern Pass or wind farms such as the one on Tenney Mountain in Plymouth.
