Anne Humphrey has accepted the position of Project Manager for Horizon Wind Energy.
Humphrey stated, "I'll be the outreach person to the community."
Humphrey is well known in the area through her 13-year dedication to the Town of Perry as Supervisor and her 10-year affiliation with the Arts Council for Wyoming County.
Recently she has worn many hats as consultant and financial advisor for Wyoming County. Humphrey said she feels comfortable with the appointment of Brenda Jones as Human Resource Director for the County.
She is doing a good job."
Along with giving notice to the Wyoming County Board of Supervisors of her new position, she has resigned from the interim position of Clerk Treasurer for the Village of Perry.
Humphrey had previously resigned from the Town of Perry as of September 1, where she was the bookkeeper.
The decision to take the position with Horizon Wind Energy came after she met with officials in Houston.
"I decided if I believed in the project (and I do), I should try to do something to make it happen." "Horizon is a subsidy of Goldman Sachs and I believe they are here for the long haul. I truly believe in the new corporate system."
Humphrey, 57, a lifelong resident of Perry, will begin her duties at Horizon Wind Energy's Perry office the first week of October.
