LEWISBURG — Valley residents can expect electric bills to go up approximately 30 percent over the next three years as the state completes deregulation of the electric industry, creating a situation that will hit consumers hard but could create some business opportunities for the Valley as well, according to an industry analyst.
Stacy Richards, program director with SEDA-Council of Governments, briefed officials from 11 local counties on the effects of deregulation Wednesday at SEDA-COG's board meeting.
