Obama blocks Chinese wind farm plan

The US president has blocked an attempt by a Chinese-owned company to build wind farms in Oregon near a navy site used to test drones and train for electronic warfare and air combat.
Barack Obama said he had decided that Ralls, the company behind the project, "might take action that threatens to impair the national security of the United States," and ordered it to sell its four sites and remove its equipment.
Lawyers suggested that the decision could act as a deterrent to other Chinese companies thinking of making acquisitions or developing projects in the US.
