A group of protesters has lined up across a crane path leading to Green Mountain Power's Lowell wind-energy project, blocking trucks from accessing the construction site.
About a dozen people met at about 5 a.m. today to block the path, and first encountered vehicles at about 7 a.m., said one of the protesters, Keith Ballek, 56, of Sheffield.
"A whole line of trucks were up here, as many as 30 workers and nine trucks, and we blockaded them," Ballek said. "Another truck tried to squeeze through, and we blockaded him."
