Yes to Wind, a lobby group funded by the wind energy industry, has been collecting signatures in Burnham-On-Sea as the debate over controversial plans to build a new wind farm outside the town heats up.
The group collected signatures from holidaymakers and shoppers in the High Street on Friday (August 3rd).
It comes as energy firm Broadview wants to construct four 130-metre tall wind turbines on land at Pilrow Farm, south of Rooksbridge, near Burnham.
David Maund, from the No Pilrow campaign group, believes the signatures are being collected to support Broadview's application despite much opposition from villagers in and around Rooksbridge. Mr... [continue via Web link]
