New orders for wind turbines declined by 30% in the first half of 2012, says analyst MAKE Consulting
MAKE says the fall - measured against the same period in 2011 - is due to "regulatory uncertainty in Europe and tightening policy measures in China".
It adds that the decline in orders is consistent with its expectations of a 5% drop in global wind capacity installations in 2013.
