Desert Claim wind project not likely to go up this year
enXco could conduct minor site preparation in the late fall, but it appears unlikely that the project will get off the ground this year. In addition to providing notice, enXco still needs to submit a number of plans for EFSEC approval before construction can proceed.

Construction of enXco's 95-turbine Desert Claim wind farm north of Ellensburg likely will not take place this year.
Washington Energy Facility Site Evaluation Council Compliance Manager Stephen Posner said international renewable energy firm enXco has not yet filed the six-month notice required by the state before the company can begin construction at the Desert Claim site.
Posner said, at this point, enXco could conduct minor site preparation in the late fall, but it appears unlikely that the project will get off the ground this year. In addition to providing notice, enXco still needs to submit a number of plans for EFSEC approval... [continue via Web link]
