FAIRHAVEN - Windwise has started a petition drive calling for a special Town Meeting to vote on three proposed articles, including one that would immediately stop and suspend the construction of two wind turbines on town land off Arsene Street.
The other bylaws would create term limits for public officials and provide more time to return petitions seeking recalls.
The turbine article also calls on the town to "suspend any contracts" for the wind turbine construction and return the land to its prior state.
