Wind-energy project is scaled back - Fewer turbines to go up in Ubly area
A wind-energy project in the Thumb Area is being scaled back. It was expected that more than a couple of dozen huge wind turbines would be up and producing electricity this summer.
But that's not going to happen, at least for now.

Wind turbines will eventually go up in Huron County, but much later than first expected, and there will only be seven to start with.
The pieces are slowly getting into place just outside of Sandusky in Sanilac County.
Three huge cylinders will be stacked on top of one another to make one wind turbine, each standing more than 400 feet tall.
But while these pieces are coming together, Noble Environmental has hit a bit of a roadblock.
