Wind turbine ordinance still up in the air in Kochville
Planning Commission members tabled further discussion on a wind turbine ordinance for Kochville Township Monday after a presentation by Bruce Palmer, zoning and planning administrator for Bridgeport Township.
Palmer shared the process and eventual ordinance that Bridgeport put together to regulate the growing demand for wind turbines at businesses and residences in its township.

Planning Commission members tabled further discussion on a wind turbine ordinance for Kochville Township Monday after a presentation by Bruce Palmer, zoning and planning administrator for Bridgeport Township.
Palmer shared the process and eventual ordinance that Bridgeport put together to regulate the growing demand for wind turbines at businesses and residences in its township.
"We worked on this for two years and ended up amending the master plan," Palmer said. "We adopted an ordinance April 2009."
Kochville has been working toward implementing such an ordinance since August and is still in the process of updating its master plan.
