Company seeks wind farm land; Clinton, DeKalb counties eyed for future site
NextEra Energy Resources is considering developing a 200-megawatt wind farm project spreading across DeKalb and Clinton counties.
“It is an area we are very interested in,” said Steve Stengel, spokesman for NextEra Energy Resources. “We have been talking to potential landowners about the project.”

NextEra Energy Resources is considering developing a 200-megawatt wind farm project spreading across DeKalb and Clinton counties.
“It is an area we are very interested in,” said Steve Stengel, spokesman for NextEra Energy Resources. “We have been talking to potential landowners about the project.”
The company also is currently measuring the wind resources in the area and looking at the transmission availability.
“It’s possible, if everything went perfectly, that we could start in 2010,” said Mr. Stengel. “It’s a 2010-2011 project.”
