Lempster wind farm proposal in jeopardy
Lempster – Construction of the state’s first wind farm might be in jeopardy after residents and town officials requested the state step in.

The Pennsylvania-based Community Energy Inc. wants to build a dozen 200-foot turbines on about 25 acres of Lempster Mountain. If the company succeeds, the project would be the first major source of wind power in New Hampshire, and one of the first new wind power sources in New England in more than decade.
“Timing is an issue for us,” said Jeff Keeler, director for Community Energy. “We’ve spent considerable resources developing this project for a number of years. If they (the state) decide to review it, we could be looking at a delay of a year to 18 months.”... [continue via Web link]
