A planning inquiry into the building of 13 wind turbines near Gedney Hill has been adjourned for three months to allow the Ministry of Defence (MoD) to gather evidence for its appeal.
The MoD fears that six turbines at Nutsgrove and a further seven at Wryde Croft could prove dangerous for its pilots from RAF Wittering and Cottesmore, who are preparing to serve in Afghanistan.
A three-week inquiry at Peterborough into the wind farms, planned by developers RES and WPR Wind, was adjourned so the MoD can look at information put forward by the two firms.
The MoD and developers are thought to have come up with different radar data over the impact the turbines could have on air traffic teams' ability to monitor flights in the area.
