The State Government will investigate what health effects the wind farms in Waubra, near Ballarat, will have on locals.
Western Victoria Democratic Labor Party MP Peter Kavanagh said residents were concerned about the effects of sub-audible noise produced by wind farm generators.
He said the noise is not audible to the human ear but can be measured by machines.
Mr Kavanagh argued in Parliament that farms are work places and WorkSafe should investigate the potential health problems.
Workcover Minister Tim Holding wrote a formal reply to Mr Kavanagh saying WorkSafe, Department of Human Services and the Environmental Protection Authority will identify potential hazards related to the wind farms.
