More jobs could be lost at a Portland wind farm company because of delays to projects in south-west Victoria.
Keppel Prince makes towers for wind turbines and has laid off about 100 workers in the past nine months because of a lack of contracts.
The company's general manager, Steve Garner, says he thought demand would increase when the Federal Government legislated its renewable energy target.
But he says there has been no shift in demand and the company may need to lay off more employees.
"My real anxiety is around whether we will actually be looking to terminate people again before this industry really does kick into gear," Mr Garner said.
"I'm really hopeful that there's some groups out there that will be able to come up with some projects to kick stuff off before the end of this year."
