Contact Energy has succeeded in its bid for a 12-month delay to hearings into its proposed 180-turbine wind farm near Raglan in Waikato.
The company sought the break at a board of inquiry meeting last week, to allow it to carry out more research, geotechnical assessments and surveying work for the project, called Hauauru ma raki.
The inquiry board's webpage on the Ministry for the Environment's website said the board had decided to provide an oral decision to grant the adjournment with certain actions being required during the adjournment.
A written decision on the adjournment application would be available when released by the board.
