The fate of a small wind farm, planned for one of Clutha's highest points, is still up in the air.
Christchurch-based NZ Windfarms Ltd filed a resource consent application with the Clutha District Council for a nine-turbine wind farm on Mt Stuart, between Milton and Lawrence, but the project has been on hold, at the company's request, since mid-February.
Its chief executive, Steve Cross, this week told the Otago Daily Times it was still trying to advance the project.
"We're working on it ... and hope to get into a position to make some kind of announcement within a month."
Thirteen submissions to the proposal opposed the development. The sole supporting submission came from TrustPower.
