Bureau County approves wind farm - Tiskilwa family receives permits to construct four towers
PRINCETON - A rural Tiskilwa family received approval Tuesday night from the Bureau County Board night to construct four wind towers near Tiskilwa.

The board approved conditional use permits for the 1.25 to 2 mega-watt wind turbines for the AgriWind L.L.C. project, owned by the Sears family.
AgriWind L.L.C. estimates the project will cost about $11 million and involve about 350 acres, said developer Mike Sears.
Sears said his family developed AgriWind L.L.C. to offer local landowners an opportunity to invest in the wind energy business.
