A wind turbine blade maker in Grand Forks is bracing for a slowdown in production in 2009.
LM Glasfiber Plant Manager Bill Burga says the Lunderskov, Denmark-based company has told him to prepare for a slowdown and possible layoffs.
Burga says some wind energy developers can't get financing due to a weak national economy.
Burga says the Grand Forks plant is running three shifts, seven days a week.
The plant opened in Grand Forks in 1999 with 60 jobs. It now employs about 900, making it the area's largest private employer.
