A Winnebago County Sheriff's report confirms Billy Cody was trapped in a crane at the construction site located between Forest City and Thompson.

Rescue crews were summoned shortly after 8 a..m.

A crane had tipped and Cody had to be extricated from the operator's compartment.

Unfortunately the cab was about 10-to-12 feet in the air.

A rescue squad member said that made getting Cody down a "long and difficult" operation that took at least a half hour.

Cody was flown to Mercy Medical Center North Iowa.

There is no word about what sort of medical problem he was suffering from.

Cody was later treated and released.
