The state Supreme Court has upheld Gov. Chris Gregoire's approval of a wind farm in Kittitas County, despite the objections of local officials.

The state Supreme Court has upheld Gov. Chris Gregoire's approval of a wind farm in Kittitas County, despite the objections of local officials.
Gregoire approved the Kittitas Valley Wind Power Project last year, as recommended by the state's Energy Facility Site Evaluation Council.
The wind farm would be about 12 miles northwest of Ellensburg. Neighboring residents and county officials have argued against the project for several years, saying it will have negative environmental and visual effects.
